Basic Life Support
Basic life support training for adults and children, focused on keeping someone alive until help arrives.
01 / Overview
About this qualification
Basic life support is the core of emergency care: recognising that someone has stopped breathing, starting effective chest compressions, and using a defibrillator without hesitating. Survival rates depend heavily on how quickly a bystander acts.
This qualification covers life support for both adults and children, including the differences in technique that matter when the casualty is small.
